Mumbai (Bombay), India

Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) is the commercial capital of India and the epicenter of all this glam and Bollywood. It’s also my home town so I am completely partial to this crazy city!

Mumbai is linked to most cities in the world, being a major hub in India. Similarly, within India, all domestic carriers will get you to Mumbai, as will the trains. Mumbai is also a seaport but I wouldn’t recommend a long haul to Mumbai on a boat. For more details on how to get to Mumbai, click here.

Bombay is great to just walk around and take in the sights and the food. With major influences from all over the country, Mumbai offers you a taste of every corner of India, in addition to its unique brand of Indianness: Mumbaikars are known to love the fast life, work hard, party harder!
