Lana’i, Hawaii

Lana’i, Hawaii

lanai3Lana’i is the smallest of Hawaii’s inhabited islands and therein lies its charms. It boasts only two resorts (both Four Seasons, no less) and a small indigenous population. Pristine waters and aquatic life, world-class golf courses and a non-touristy feel has made Lana’i our favorite Hawaiian getaway.

Lana’i is a 30 minute picturesque ferry ride from Maui or you can fly directly into Lana’i Airport (LNY) from Honolulu, Kahului and Maui.

The highlight of our trip is that Lana’i is a natural sanctuary for wild spinner dolphins to come to the shores three to five times a week to rest. Put on your snorkeling gear and watch the dolphins show off, play and train their young.
