Sausalito, California

Located on the other end of the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, Sausalito in Marin county is a wealthy, artistic town that attracts a large number of tourists every year.

If you fancy a boat ride over the bay, it’s worth taking the 30 minute ferry from San Francisco (either from the Ferry Building or Pier 41). It is also a picturesque drive over the Golden Gate Bridge on the 101N into Sausalito and there is convenient parking located near the city center. We love strolling down Sausalito’s main street (Bridgeway) and feasting on some great seafood and a crisp California Chardonnay on a sunny day. Duck into the many quaint boutiques or pick up a San Francisco souvenir.
