Wine Country, California

Wine Country, California

sonoma6California’s wine country is the most famous in the country and will have your senses bursting with its scrumptious wines and gourmet foods, in addition to spectacular views and sprawling vineyards.

The region extends as far up as Mendocino on the state’s west coast down to San Barbara, just north of Los Angeles. The most well-known however, are Napa and Sonoma, which being San Francisco residents, we have the luxury of visiting very often.

We love day trips to Sonoma or Napa and hanging out in the wineries but half the charm is the beautiful bed and breakfasts and glorious restaurants which are not always kid-friendly. You can however find accommodations to suit any budget and traveler type, and with the open, sprawling spaces and essence of wine in the air, you are never too badly off.
